The challenge:
Modern manufacturing processes allow extremely flexible changeovers between different product versions on the same line. Every product version requires specific information labels and nameplates featuring different sizes and inscriptions. As a result, manufacturers have to maintain inventories of a large variety of labels. However, despite the desired increase in flexibility, warehousing costs should be reduced, and handling should become easier and more efficient.

The solution:
Schreiner ProTech’s Color Laser Film is used in an inline process of cutting the labels to size and marking them by a laser. The nameplate is created exactly when it is required. The integrated protection laminate protects the label from scratching and aggressive chemicals.
