Pressure compensation seals in a harsh environment.

ADZ NAGANO produces pressure transducers for measuring and control technology near Dresden, Germany. The company’s high-tech electronic components are used in automotive engine applications, for example, and require reliable protection by enclosures as well as constant pressure compensation. This requirement is superbly met by Schreiner ProTech’s pressure compensation seals (PCS) as the customer was able to confirm during in-house testing of ProTech’s PCS’s.
The customer confirmed this by in-house testing. “We wanted to see how extreme heat and moisture would affect our pressure transducers,” said Martin Engel, head of material management at ADZ NAGANO. “In an endurance test, the precision-engineered components were subjected to harsh environmental conditions.
The result: "Schreiner ProTech’s PCS’s were found to provide outstanding protection. Thanks to the permanent bonding between the substrate and the adhesion area our electronics remained completely intact,” confirmed Martin Engel.
In day-to-day operation, the PCS’s are also exposed to temperatures of up to 150 °C (320 °F) and protect electronics from rain, road spray, salt, and oil.
