Together with its Swiss customer Flexcell (VHF-Technologies SA) Schreiner ProTech developed a new solution enabling the production of bonding and marking elements for photovoltaic (PV) modules on printing lines.

The PCB Flex (Flexible Printed Circuit Board) bonding sheet combines several purposes. In addition to its bonding and electricity dissipation functionalities, the innovative sheet serves as a marking and design element for brand building. The bonding sheet enables customers to achieve significant process optimizations and cost reductions—key benefits, which made PCB Flex the “Innovation” award winner in the international FINAT self-adhesion technology competition.

The solution provides advantages to consumers as well. PCB Flex’s outstanding resistance to UV radiation enables a high-grade design, which retains its original visual appearance throughout the module’s life cycle.
